The Research Organization of St. Matthew’s University encourages students to participate in research by working independently and with colleagues and faculty. Our annual Research Day showcases student research posters, displaying and discussing their studies to the entire campus community. We are also interested in helping physicians on the island and around the world conduct their research by volunteering in community events. The Research Organization emphasizes and fosters leadership, the importance of research and evidence based medicine, and the foundation of life long learning for future physicians.

Our administration provides their research experience and formal training in education. This group evaluates and coordinates all research projects, research events as well as collaborative efforts. All projects are initially assessed for project design and significance in advancing medical knowledge. Final processing considers the ethics of the project, which is conducted by the Institutional Review Board. After clearing these steps, a particular project may then be conducted.
